Why should I tell you if my health or situation is affecting my finances?


Speaking to us about your health might be difficult. But if issues with your health are impacting your ability to pay back your debt, we can help.

Maybe some expensive medical bills have caused you to get behind on other payments. Or maybe you’ve been struggling with your mental health. Whatever it is, if you let us know, we can support you.

Here are some of the things we can do:

  • We can change the way we message you.
    If you have ongoing issues with your health or other financial strains, we know that receiving reminders about debt can be triggering. We can always change the way we message you, like only sending you messages at certain times, or on a specific device.
  • We can give you some breathing space.
    If you’re struggling, we can stop sending you any messages for a while. This can give you some space and time to get extra support.
  • We can help you seek specialist advice.
    Our customer care team can point you in the direction of free resources or services, that may help your specific situation.


Any information you share with us is strictly confidential. We will not share it with anyone, including the company you owe money to, unless we have your permission to do so.
